Hello,

We have a Country field

Values:

France

Germany

Chile

Spain

Brazil

etc

How can we create an Area Map in Qlik Sense using the Map object when we only have Country name values and not using Data Manager to load this data?

How is Qlik Sense able to do it with Data Manager without the need for KML file?

Hi John

Sorry but Qlik is not able to connect your Country field with a map without a connection and a relation between the value in your country field

Let's take an example with France MAP

France is divided into departemnt

I have a KML file with 2 fields

Departement name and area coordonate

My table is like this :

Now using MAp object i 'am able to see each departement on the map :

Let's imagine i have another table with departement and sells , then it's possible to connect the 2 fields departement and see the number of sells per departement
