Section Access Based on AD group in Qliksense

Hi Everyone!

I need to know if QlikSense can handle the AD group level security.

Can the section access be implemented based on AD group..In brief :Lets say the users will not be part of the excel file/ any kind of input file and if they are part of specific AD group they should be able to access the report . Can we achieve this?

Could anyone please help me ?

Hi,

AD Groups which are imported by the User Directory Connector are brought in as Groups in Sense.

These need the separate GROUP heading in your Section Access and need to be referred to without the domain prefix.

Hopefully that should work out for you.

Could you show an example/screen print of what exactly the script/section would look like? Say for example I wanted to load only specific fields in some circumstances. For example:

For people in AD group X, I want to . . .

LOAD PO_ID
,PO_UNIT
,PO_DATE
,PO_AMOUNT FROM [lib://XX](XX);

But for people in group Y, I do NOT want to not show PO_AMOUNT. . .

LOAD PO_ID
,PO_UNIT
,PO_DATE FROM [lib://X/X](X);
