topic Regional Time Variables in App Development https://community.qlik.com/t5/App-Development/Regional-Time-Variables/m-p/64853#M4277 <HTML><HEAD></HEAD><BODY><P>I am working on a global dashboard DataModel for EMEA, APAC, and NA Operations Centers.&nbsp; One of the themes for requested KPI's is items created today.&nbsp; Our transaction Create Times are stored in GMT (field is [Create Date]).&nbsp; Each region wants to be able to see how many transactions were created "Today" relative to their region.&nbsp; </P><P></P><P>My thought was to flag each item by creating 3 variables to calculate 3 fields:</P><P>vAPAC would give me "TODAY" based on the current time in GMT+8</P><P>vEMEA would give me "TODAY" based on the current time in GMT+2</P><P>vNA would give me "TODAY" based on the current time in GMT-4</P><P></P><P>QS Server is on EST (GMT-4).</P><P></P><P>Using the Variables I could then compare the regional "TODAY" to the converted Create Time and flag if the record was actually created "Today"</P><P></P><P>Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated.
