Selecting values by first 10 characters

Hi,

I have an app with a "Selections Applier" extension. Users can copy values and paste them into the selection box.

The values are 10 characters. Occasionally the users will have the data with an extra character at the end, so they will copy and paste it into the box and not get any results.

My requirement is to return the 10 character value even if they paste the 11 digit character value in the Selection Applier input box.

I know that I need to somehow just match the first 10 characters, but I don't see how that is possible with the extension.

I still have to have keep the ability for the users to paste multiple values for their selections. Maybe there is a way to do this without the extension ??

If anyone has any ideas on this I would greatly appreciate the help.
