I have a fact table and a date dimension table. My fact table is incomplete by date. That is, there are certain dates in my date dimension table where there is no corresponding record in my fact table. I need to display a line chart of the count of records in my fact table, by date. I would expect those dates that have no fact records to return count 0. But, it doesn't. Because of this, the given date doesn't appear as a value in the time axis of the chart. How can I resolve this? That is, I need a count of 0 to return for those dates where no fact record is present.

This is a classic reason to create a master calendar.
You could also just create a field based on your date field that finds the min and max values and fills in the gaps.
Take a look at these articles:
https://community.qlik.com/t5/QlikView-Documents/How-to-use-Master-Calendar-and-Date-Values/ta-p/1495741
