QS Document Analyzer V1.5.1 is available

Qlik Sense Document Analyzer V1.5.1 is available for download. http://qlikviewcookbook.com/recipes/download-info/qs-document-analyzer/

This update contains a bugfix for the connector that addresses "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" received when objects are missing or incomplete. The change is only to the connector, there are no changes to the qvf.

Good afternoon @rwunderlich ,

I have the same issue, and I'm working on version 1.6.
Could you please confirm if virtual proxy is supported in the 'server name' (i.e. servername/windowsVP)?
My current configuration has Forms authentication on the default virtual proxy (the one that answers at servername/), and I would like to specify a different one that has Windows authentication

Yes, virtual proxy in the url is supported. So you can use the proxy that supports windows authentication.

This indicates you have hit the maximum of 5 sessions for the license. The problem should clear itself up by waiting a few minutes. It's unfortunate the the error is reported as "not a valid method" (Nov 2019 only, bug in my opinion). I thought I was catching that and translating it to a license error, may have missed something.

Let me know if it doesn't clear up after waiting a few minutes.

Goodmorning @rwunderlich ,

unluckily even with version 1.7 I'm still getting the uriString issue, even if I specify the win prefix for the proxy.
I should have specified earlier, but I'm using QS November 2019 latest patch.
Is it possible that in this version something changed and it's not working as supposed?

I'm testing against Nov 2019 SR5 and it's working for me. Are you using userid & pwd n the connection?

Yes, we're using the credentials of a different user than the QS service user
Said user is still RootAdmin and has visibility of everything on QS

I'm trying to use your tool but this error keeps occuring:

QVX_UNKNOWN_ERROR: Method "OpenApp" timed out. Stack trace written to C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\Custom Data\QsAppMetadataConnector\Log\StackTrace.txt

StackTrace.txt only says:

System.TimeoutException: Method "OpenApp" timed out
at QsAppMetaShared.QsAppMetadata.GetApp(Boolean noData)
at QsAppMetaShared.QsAppMetadata.GetMasterMeasures()
at QsAppMetadataConnector.QsAppMetadataConnection.<GetMasterMeasures>d__10.MoveNext()
at QlikView.Qvx.QvxLibrary.QvxConnection.WriteTableItemsToStream(QvxDataTable table, Stream pipeStream)
at QlikView.Qvx.QvxLibrary.QvxConnection.InternalExecute(DataPipe dataPipe, QvxDataTable table, Action`1 onError, Action clearMExecuteError)

I've read it in other threads, something about changing the timeout value, but I don't see where I can change that value.

Have you tried to tweak the time out setting as per the instructions?

Copied from the pdf:

During analysis you may receive reports of “timeout” errors. This can occur if the time taken to open the
application or calculate a chart exceeds the default of 90 seconds. You may increase the timeout value
by editing the QsAppMetadata.config file.
Depending on your install setup, this file is located in either:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Qlik\Custom Data\QsAppMetadataConnector
or
C:\Users\userid\AppData\Local\Programs\Qlik\Sense\Connectors\QsAppMetadataConnector
Currently available settings:
1. Timeout: The amount of time in seconds that the connector should wait for a response from the
server. If this time is exceeded, the load script will attempt to catch and report the error. In some
cases, the load script may not be able to recover from the error. The default value is 90 seconds.

</appSettings>

It's strange because I don't have that QsAppMetadata.config file. Only the application QsAppMetadataConnector.

I've already looked for that file and couldn't find it nowhere inside the folders.

It seems that your website is getting an error:

"Fatal error: 'continue' not in the 'loop' or 'switch' context in /home/customer/www/qlikviewcookbook.com/public_html/wp-content/themes/twentyfourteen-child/functions.php on line 45"

Is it a known issue?
