Create dimension based on a measure

i would like to create a dimension that is a group of customers who used a particular promotion discount (Missed you coupon-$25).

i would then like to see the total sales from that group of customers in the last 12 months.

i created a dimension, =If(wildmatch(DISC_DESCR, 'Missed you coupon-$25'),Customer_Name).

this gives me the customer group that i want. but when i add a measure for last 12 months sales, it just shows the sales for that particular discount and not the total sales for that customer over the last 12 months.

hope i explained this correctly.

any advice would be most welcome.
