Creating a Data Connection without '(username)' appended to the name

I am working on a application that will be imported to multiple qlik sense servers. In order to streamline implementation it would be useful to be able to create a DataConnection that does not append the username to the connection name.

Is there a way to do this? Currently our implementation requires that the installer modify the load script for each installation.

I go into QMC and edit the connection name to remove the username from the Data Connection. Then back to the qvf editor and use this name in the qvf load script. A bit of a pain but it works, I'd be interested if anyone knows a better way.

I just realized that was possible and modified the instructions for our installation team to do that.

It still is a bit awkward. If nothing else, I'm hoping it can be done via the web socket. At least then I could script it.
