Filter pane and chart label from associated field

Hello,

I am new to Qlik and let me know if I posted in wrong forum.

I have to tables with an associated field (an ID). When I create a bar chart I want the data to be fetched from the table which basically contains:

ID;Measure;Date

But in the filter pane I want to select Name by choosing from the other table which contains:

ID (same as table 1);Name

Also, I need the bar chart to display the name as label rather than ID

How do I fix this?

if your tables are connected via ID field
then you don't need to do anything
just drag the name as dimension and use any measure you want
also just put the name in filter pane and everything will work

Hello,

thank you. I can not get it working. I associated the tables on the ID. I put the ID field as a filter and the Name field from the second table as a filter. When I use the ID filter it is working. But when I use the Name filter it shows no data. What could be wrong?

are you sure you have the same values in your id field ,
can you share the data model view that we can see that your tables are connected

There was something about the associated fields, when I changed to another association it worked. Thanks!
