Bar Chart showing Selected YearMonth and same Month previous year

Hi all,

Struggling to find a good solution to this request (which seems very reasonable). Simply put, I want a bar chart that has YearMonth as dimension and two expressions as bars:

1. Sales Amount (according to selection made, expression: Sum(Sales)

2. Sales Amount for the same month, previous year

I know that this is very simple if the dimension is month (Jan, Feb, Mar etc.) but I am having trouble solving it for YearMonth. Basically, if the dimension value is 2020-03, the expression should give me the Sales Amount for 2019-03. See attached picture that contains the chart without the second expression.

Any help appreciated.

For me that is more format issue? Can you use text box and identify if that is returning correct?
