Vizlib/Climber Selection bar, initial selection using expression; Automated "Action"->"select values in a field"

I like to set an initial selection for all previous years. The actual year must be dynamic.

=Year(Today())-1 as entry works but only showes up 2020.

<2021 (which converts to ='<2021' in the formula) works as expected but is not dynamic

Anything I tried to get a "<" included with an expression fails. Maybe it could be working by using a variable "$(vAllPreviousYears)" in the initial field selection but how should it be defined in the load script to get it working as initial selection?

Same problem if using the built-in function "Action"->"select values in a field" of Qlik Sense
