      <title>NEW Qlik Sense Alternate States capabilities</title>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Qlik Sense Cloud was updated yesterday (Oct 1st, 2018) with new capabilities, including the introduction of Alternate States.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The alternate states is a feature that was already available in QlikView, and it allows users to perform a comparative analysis between sets of multiple data items, for example for basket analysis purposes. A state holds a set of selections.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The Qlik Sense developer can create multiple states within an application and apply these states to specific objects and sheets.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The functionality is aiming Guided Analytics use cases, and is enabled by a Qlik Sense developer and should be used with caution as it can cause great confusion with end-users as there is no automatic on-screen indication that objects or expressions are in, or reference, alternate states.
