Remember values from last week's run

Good Afternoon -

I run a weekly qlik sense dashboard that calculates the number of open tickets so the tech team can resolve them.

When the month changes, I need to show the count of last month's open tickets as a bar chart.

So in May, I want to show April's open ticket count; in June, I need to show April and May open ticket count.

How do I remember the count from earlier dashboard runs?

Can I store it as a variable from one week's run to the next?

Or do i write to a qvd and read it when the month changes?

Any other options?
