How to use Variable Input extension with Section Access

Hi,

I am trying to use the Variable Input extension in the Qlik Dashboard Bundle with an App with Section Access applied to restrict rows based on User attributes.

The Section Access works fine with a Filter Pane associated with a data field. When I use a Variable Input (drop down) to select a variable value, I cant see a way to select a data field in the data model in order to get Section Access applied.

Any help appreciated
