Hi Community!

I have a problem with the <LI-PRODUCT title="Qlik Sense Business" id="qlikSenseBusiness"></LI-PRODUCT> Alternate States, that may be because of my inexperience with the feature

Let's say I have alternate state A. One of my sheets is with Alternate State A, while the rest is with the deafult state.

I have a Master Visualization with all my filters, with the alternate state set to inherited (because I can't set it to anything else), and I want to use this Master Item in my sheet that has the Alternate State A, to respond to Alternate State A.

Since the state of the master item is set to inherited, I would assume that it wouldn't be a problem.

However, what I concluded is that the Master Item is making selections to the default state, even in my sheet with the Alternate State A.

Is this the normal behaviour?

I know I can simply build another visualization and set its alternate state to A, but that would be a pain to maintain in the future, as I have several sheets with several different alternate states.

Thanks in advance 😄

KR,

João

Hi @joao_ben,

It is the normal behaviour of an alternate state.

Unfortunately you have to create separate visualization for the different alternate states.

Hi @abhijitnalekar ,

Thanks for the quick reply.

But should it be the normal behaviour? I would expect that if the Master Item is set to inherited, it should inherit the Alternate State from the sheet, shouldn't it?

Thanks.

KR,

João
