Custom colors on segments of stacked bar chart

Hi,

I have a stacked bar chart, built with one dimension for the y axis, then I'm using seven different numeric fields for both alternate dimensions and measures. So what I get is a stacked bar chart with one bar for each value of the y axis dimension, and seven segments on that bar, each with a numeric value, as below.

I would like to color each of the 7 segments based on its value (if segment1 value = 1 then beige, if segment1= 2 then tan, if segment1 value = 3 then light brown, etc.). I see that I can color by expression or by measure, but I don't think either of these provide enough flexibility to achieve my goal. If I create master measures for each segment I can set up segment colors, but these don't seem to color each segment individually, they color the whole bar. How can I set this up properly?
