We're trying to make use of the mailto function to send emails in Sense using the Qlik Sense buttons.

Under the Actions and navigation tab we have selected the "Open a website or email" option as navigation, and using "mailto:someone@sony.com" as the Website URL. However, the email function does not seem to open outlook as expected and instead opens a blank page in the browser.

Have someone got the above working or should we be using a different URL? Please advice.

I had a similar problem this morning. I figured out that my Windows Settings did not have Outlook as my default email. Might be worth checking.

Mike

One more thing, I set mine up in a straight table as a field, so could be different, but my formula look like this ='MailTo:' &[Email Address Field].

Fyi, the syntax is to have // after the mailto:

='mailto://email@example.com'

Sept and onward will support the standard mailto link.

Thanks,

Patric

in regard to this 'mailto:'....

if i have a field of email addresses - is there a way for the button to mail the emails that are in scope from a selected filter?

for example, lets say i filtered on names containing 'E' - is there a button that would email all those addresses in one email when clicked
