Can Qlik Sense Update Excel Data?

I have an excel sheet which was created using multiple formulae. Data would change as soon as the date in one of the sheets is changed.

Is there any possibility in Qlik Sense, to modify the date in the excel and load the updated data into Qlik Sense?

Have looked at the below post but looks like it is only applicable to Qlik View.

If the above is not possible in Qlik Sense, what can be the best approach for my requirements?

In QlikView you was able to use macros. This isn't possible in the same manner in QlikSense.
You could save your updated data into a .csv file and try to integrate this in to your excel-routines via external logic (VBA).
