Need advise on the best method to proceed on source migration...

Hi All,

we have a production Qliksense app named sales report for which the source is single table named A. now as per the management decision we need to switch the app source from A to new table called B in other data ware house.

Risks points :

1. There is a structure change in B compared with A(few columns got merged and few columns are coming new)

2. there are some business definition changes as well, while deriving the columns.

Methods we are thinking of :

1. Build a brand new app to avoid all the mess. (which is time consuming)

2. Do the impact analysis of the new structure and Business definitions and trying to fix the app with B as source.

Please suggest any other better ways to tackle this situation.

If it were me I'd just duplicate the app, hard to understand what would be time consuming without knowing exactly what is involved but would have thought it wasn't a huge deal to map the parsing of the new fields in if you have the new logic documented in a soft copy.
