Custom tooltip for chart layer on map doesn't work anymore ?

Hi everyone,

Does anybody have problems with the custom tooltip on a map with chart layer ?

It worked fine last week but now only the basic tooltip work. I had notice that when I select "custom" for tooltip, the case "show tooltip" becomes uncheck. When I check it again, tooltip become "basic" and not "custom" as I want. I have the same phenomenon with a point layer on map but I don't have this problem (I can have my custom tooltip even if the case is unchecked). Can anyone explain me why ?

Is that on Sense SaaS or Client Managed (on-premise)?

With the SaaS version Qlik roll out extra features reasonably regularly and occasionally an improvement in one area will cause something to stop working somewhere else.

It may be that having a custom tooltip over the top of two different dimensions (the chart dimension and the map dimension) is something that won't work, but the UI has not been hidden for it.

I have encountered a similar issue in a client-managed environment, but it started working after performing a refresh.

If you have a similar map or point layer, try applying the same custom tooltip settings there. If it works on the other layer, the issue might be isolated to the specific layer or chart type..
If I were you I would clear browser cache or try accessing the map with chart layer in an incognito/private browsing window. Cached files can sometimes cause unexpected behavior.
