Setting Filter Values Based on Variables

So, I have a sheet where I want the visuals to only show values for the past month unless a user enters a date in a filter field. I am currently handling this now via set analysis but I have to do this for every measure and it seems to be affecting performance. What I am looking for is a way to set values in a filter pane based on a couple of variables I have in the loadscript.

Filter Pane - Transaction Date (data contains the last 4 years)

vStartDate = '09/17/2018'

vEndDate = '10/16/2018'

What I would like is to have all of the dates between 09/17/2018 and 10/16/2018 selected in the filter pane by default when the user enters the sheet.

Any help is appreciated.

qlikview = yes.

qlik sense = not that i am aware of.

Qlik have the Qlik Beta Programs area where they make different beta releases available to Qlik customers and partners, ask them to try them out and collect their feedback.

You can also take a look at the Qlik Product Insight space where Qlik publish product surveys on different topics and ask customers and partners to give them feedback.
