Limiting the dimension on the filter but keeping the data

Hi;

I have the sales data for years 2015, 2016 and 2017. I have a "years" filter for the user selection.

My report shows the sales data for the selected year and also the difference between the selected and the previous years.

I use the year dimension as a filter but I don't want the user to select 2015 as I don't have the data for the previous year (2014) and I can't show the difference between 2015 and 2014.

I tried to use a calculated dimension to suppress 2015 but then I lose all the data for 2015 and I fail to calculate "Sales (2016) -Sales (2015)" when user selects 2016.

Is there a way of keeping the data for 2015 and still not showing "2015" in the years filter?

I spent a long time dealing with this. Any help greatly appreciated.
