Qlik Sense :How to pull data from Sharepoint on a weekly basis

Hi
I want to pull data from sharepoint into a QVD on a weekly basis.

and also I want to also reserve all the old data. Because I want to show trending

on the Qlik Dashboard. So that I think I need to add a column to the table called "Refresh Date".

I think maybe I can release this by using QMC, but who can tell me how to do that ?

It's second time i hear that there is question about loading data from sharepoint... I'm wondering if it's possible.

But as far as i know - is sharepoint is complex of software for frontend sites developing? And IT uses data from some other sources. Like sql server. So why not to take this data directly from this sources?

HI,

You can pull the data from SharePoint. The caveat would be, you can pull the data from the files stored in Qliksense. Any files supported by QS can be stored in SharePoint. Thus they can act as source.

You would require Qlik Connector. The beta version of connectors can connect to the QS and load the data from there.

This is the solution for first half of your question.

You would like to show historical data. Refresh date in the right step in this process.

You can use Incremental load. This process loads the new data and keeps the old ones intact.

I believe OP wants to show the SharePoint data in QS not the other way around.

Apart from that, Qlik strongly advises against the use of iFrames now.

Hi , thanks for your response.

Basically I have created connection to share point , and I know how to do the incremental load.

But I want to do this in the automatic way, I do not want to do any manual work , because I have tooo many tables, and if I update the tables every week, that will be a lot of work.

Not sure if I can do the automatic tasks by using QMC?

Yes, you can add tasks in tasks tab in QMC.

Yeah, you can create a TASK in QMC against the APP. The task can be scheduled every week or on an external trigger to work. This should be the right way.
