EBCDIC is an extended familiy of character sets - not just one. Just like the ASCII/ANSI is ...&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So be sure to identify which &lt;STRONG&gt;EBCDIC code page&lt;/STRONG&gt; your database is set to. Then go into the ODBC-driver and find the conversion options there to specify the source EBCDIC code page and then you should get a Windows readable character set.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;can anyone help me with the logic that need to be used to convert the EBCDIC character set data to normal characters (readable format) using sql load option.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I tried using mapping function to convert EBCDIC data with qlik load file option but not able to use the same mapping function for sql load.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Narasimha&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
