I have a client's model that I'm tweaking. In that tweaking, I'm replacing an AutoCalendar done from declare-derive functions with a regular master calendar done in script.

Is it better to leave the AutoCalendar or to use the one done in script through regular methods?

I found an article from 2016 that didn't recommend the AutoCalendar due to bad performance.

Q-Tip #16 - What's Special About Those Derived Fields - Natural Synergies

There's another article from 2020 by HIC that didn't recommend on-the-fly or calculated dimensions. But didn't mention explicitly the declare-derive functions to create a calendar, so I'm not sure what to interpret from it.

https://community.qlik.com/t5/Design/Calculated-Fields/ba-p/1694383

Thanks.
