Date not formatting as continuous chart

Hi,

I am trying to use a YearMonth as a continuous line chart. I have got it working for one date but a different date doesn't work and brings up an integer format - see image attached.

I have tried unticking the "Auto" button on the formatting section of the chart but nothing works - any ideas?

This doesn't format correctly even though its using the same type of date field.This formats correctly as continuous chart. The date field is a YearMonth date field.

And what happened if you try as dimension with

Date(SaleDate_YearMonth,'YYYYMM')

Thanks for answering. Indeed, it works.

But I still can not understand why it was showing the date as numbert format on a continous axis.

First time it happened to me.. 😂
