Load different images from local device based on filter selections

However, I'm not able to store my images on a server. I was hoping there was a way to load the images from the local machine C:\Users\<User>\Pictures. I have added the media box extension, but this requires a URL for the image source.

Is there a way to load an image based on multiple filter selections (this can be incorporated in the file name), where the images are stored locally?

FILE URL's are not possible ; the content must be uploaded to another file store

Only HTTP(s) urls are allowed on all modern browsers for security reasons
