&lt;P&gt;It does not work.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If you are using $1 for a set expression, you could create a master item without the set analysis, then use your variable function to set the Outer set analysis if your version supports it.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Is there a possibility to use a dollar sign expansion expression in a master measure and add the dollar expansion values in that master measure?&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Like this:&amp;nbsp;$(UDF_BAR_CHART_NETT($1)), but where to set the $1 value in a master measure (if possible).&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
