Regarding the alarm part, how can I go about creating an alarm?

Hi All,

If anyone has any idea of achieving this, please let me know.

As we all know, we have connections in qliksense to various data sources such as Oracle, Sybase sql server etc.,

Now, I wanted to check every morning whether or not qliksense is able connect to a list of critical data sources. The reason that qliksense won't be able to connect might be many reasons such as Database is down etc.,

In the event of such failures, how can we have qliksense generate an alert?

Thanks

Hello @jpjust ,

By default, Qlik Sense does not provide a tool to perform that action.

A potential solution would be to create a dummy app that reloads a small amount of data from each of the data source you want to check, and trigger an alarm if it fails.

A more advance solution would be to create a script that creates new connections and trigger an alarm if it's not available.

https://help.qlik.com/en-US/sense-developer/May2021/apis/EngineAPI/services-Doc-CreateConnection.html

Best regards,

Francisco
