I actually forgot to dropped the common fields. But thanks to your explanation, I now understand better the concept of synthetic key

Hello QLikS friends,

Please see the picture attached with my current load.

I am trying to add a master calendar (for the sake of making the dev of the app easier as dates dimensions do not relate to each other for some period of time in the entire dataset) but when adding this master calendar, I get a synthetic key.

Is it possible to add or link the master calendar to the current link table?

Or do would you have another solution?

Thank you

Hi a synth key is created when more than one field exist in more than one table.

You can add the master calendar to join with the rest of the model using the Period or Date field, from this field the master calendar would generate the other fields (month, year, quarter...) once they are loaded on the master calendar remove it from them from the other tables like absences, only keep the link field in this table.
