Data Connection Name

Hi,

I've been experiencing the following issue over the last few weeks.

When a connection is created, I then go to the QMC to remove the (username) part. The change works in the QMC but it doesn't change in the connection picker in the script editor. See below:

I've done this many times in the past with no issues, so why is it no longer working? I make sure to refresh or close the browser before checking for updates but nothing is changing. It's still not working after several days so it doesn't seem to be a delayed response.

PS- I've seen the previous versions of this issue but as the latest one that was 'solved' was from 2016 I opened a new ticket. The issue then seemed to be a bug within Qlik, but as I said, this was working a few weeks ago.

Hi @VW

1. What is your Qlik Sense version?

2. As you mentioned it had been working fine until a few weeks ago, it should not be a product bug. Anything was changed recently?

3. Have you tried on a different browser or have you tried inside the Qlik Sense server?

4. I did some tests in my May 2022 server and I couldn't replicate the issue. The data connection name changed immediately in the data load editor after the name changed in QMC.

If you open the Developer tools in the Browser (Chrome -> F12) the browser refresh will gain some additional options. If you right click on the Refresh icon with devtools open and choose Empty Cache and Hard Reload, does this issue persist? What about if you use a different browser?

Hi, Sorry for the late update. The above connection has updated but I'm still unsure of the rules around changing connections. I think it might be if you keep the owner to the original - you can change the name?

I'm still having issues, it's seems to work on the whim of Qlik if a connection is going to update straight away, in a few hours or never.

New update:

Created a new connection and removed user name from connection string and changed owner. The change has taken affect straight away in all dashboards except the one I was in when I created the connection.
