Qlik Sense SaaS can be an excellent solution for data extraction and storage needs. Instead of connecting to a local database, you will connect directly to data sources using built-in connectors. The ETL process can be performed in Qlik Sense using data load-scripts. The converted data can be stored in the cloud in a Qlik Sense SaaS environment. Consider the security and permission settings, and take advantage of Qlik's community and support services. Or you can try considering another way to extract data using Nannostomus. Either way, good luck with your work, and all the best.

Hi,

Looking into Qlik Sense SaaS as a solution for our needs. Can anyone shed some light on how extraction of data & storage can be done with Qlik Sense Enterprise SaaS?

Current workings as follows:

- We connect to the ODBC, extract the data from the db (which is on premise) this goes through 3 stages

(1)Extraction of data as is from source db, saved into a QVD file,

Then (2) stage 2 it is transformed & also stored in a QVD,

then (3)Final stage we use the QVD file in our dashboards,

All of this is stored in both QlikView local servers and also QlikSense which is hosted on an Azure site.

How might this change to be usable on Qlik Sense SaaS?

Any repercussions / things to look out for? Or any good pointers to undertaker?

Thanks in advance
