Connect QlikSense to SQL server on premise

Hi there,

Not sure if I should ask this here or on the Qlik community. I want to access an on premise SQL server with QlikSense. I'm working with a cloud version of Qlik.

How can I connect to this SQL database? It seems to be accessible locally only? Are there certain tools or settings I can use to connect to it?

What you are describing sounds like the data gateway component.

That is a file transfer utility. That would require generating intermediate files from the SQL server and is a messy solution when Data Gateway will do the job simply.
