QVD storing to Azure Storage

I am able to read a QVD file just fine using the Azure Store Data Connections. But when I try to write a QVD to the Azure Store location I am getting the following error message. The account does have RW access to the storage area.

The following error occurred:
Cannot open file:xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
(Native path: ***
System error: ***)

The error occurred here:
Store NewData into data connection

Hi,

Are you using Client-Managed version of Qlik Sense ? If yes, you cannot store QVD into Azure Storage for now, as described in the documenation: https://help.qlik.com/en-US/connectors/Subsystems/Web_Storage_Provider_Connectors_help/Content/Connectors_StorageProvider/Storage%20provider%20connectors/Azure-Storage-storage-provider-connector.htm

When is Qlik planning to enable this capability given that as companies transition from Qlik Sense to SaaS there is a need to operate in a hybrid mode? The ability to write to Azure blob storage would enable data sharing while in a hybrid mode.
