Asynchronous request via Direct Access Gateway

Has anyone been able to successfully implement asynchronous or batch REST API requests when connecting through the Direct Access gateway?

Specifically:

I’m trying to determine whether the Direct Access gateway supports parallelized or queued batch requests (instead of single sequential calls).
If supported, what approaches or configurations did you use to enable this?
Were you able to handle larger payloads, long-running queries, or multi-request batching efficiently?
Are there any limitations, throttling rules, or workarounds (e.g., retries, splitting requests, or leveraging async tokens) that you had to implement?

I'm almost sure this is possible. Take a look at Direct Access Gateway Configuration options:

Hi Mark,

The documentation only explains on confiiguring the gateway connector.
I am hoping this will be similar to the old Qlik Web Connectors.
