topic Google BigQuery Geography type not recognised in Connectivity & Data Prep

My Qlik Sense account loads data from BigQuery and the set contains a field GEOGRAPHY. This is valid GeoJSON and it works great within BigQuery. But Qlik Sense does not recognise it as GEO data. The documentation states it will automagically transform and index the GEO data. It seems to be handling it as STRING type.

If I convert the string POLYGON object in the GEOGRAPHY field using rename functions so it looks like an array of points then Qlik will show the polygon correctly on the map. But I think it should work with the GEOGRAPHY field provided by Google BigQuery as is. Right?
