SAP License

Hi,

I recently installed the SAP Connector 7.0.7. But when I try to apply the license, I cannot find that option. (as described in the help file) How can I apply the license? I'm getting error why trying to create a connection because the license is not installed.

When you install the license, it should be installed, on the server and on all nodes in a multi-node system. The license key and control number, or the Lef.txt file are very important before you apply for the license.

You can get Lef.txt file in the folder:

C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\Custom Data\QvSAPConnector

You can install the new license by opening the SAP SQL Connector as a stand-alone application. You can take the executable file from:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\QlikTech\Custom Data\QvSAPSqlConnector

Follow the below steps to apply for SAP license:

When you click the application QvSAPSqlConnector.exe. it opens the SQL Connection dialog
Click help and select update license from the drop-down list.
After doing that the Update License dialog box will open.
Enter your license there.

Steps for entering the license:

1. Keep your internet on and select the Connect and get license radio button. If there is no internet access due to security restrictions, then select the Enter license text radio button.

2. If you use Connect and get license, enter the License key, and Control number provided by Qlik, followed by the user name and Organization.

Hey guys
Don't want to hi-jack the post.
I have followed the steps and installed successfully. My issue is, when testing the connection, I get an error saying Test Connection failed: Error: An error occured during a license validation: Incorrect PRODUCTLEVEL

Any help on this will be much appreciated
