I have a MS SQL on my desktop computer with a Db that I want to load into Qlik Cloud, I am using the MS server connector in QlIk sense cloud but it will not connect. My access to the internet is through my internet carrier (optimum cable), of course my desktop computer has a local IP , I wan to believe that there is no available path to reach the Qlik server or firewalls are preventing the connection. I wonder what better option I can take to resolve this issue.

Hi @AlbertAA

An error screenshot would be helpful along with connection details to analyze the issue better.

To start with, please make sure that you are using the supported QSL version and data types in our help page:

https://help.qlik.com/en-US/connectors/Subsystems/ODBC_connector_help/Content/Connectors_ODBC/SQLServer/SQL-Server-connector.htm

If it's supported, please check the subsequent pages to the connection details to verify and see if all looks okay.

I hope this helps!

hi friends ,

on my side, this works using Qlik Sense Desktop - I can connect to my LOCAL SQL Server 2019.

Using the same configuration on Qlik cloud , its not working. I am getting the error , saying "Connection failed: Please check the values for Username‚ Password‚ Host and other properties." Is there anything I need to configure inside the Windows Firewall - Inbound and Outbound UDP , 1434 is already configured.

Thank you in advance.
