Qliksense Installation Failes

Hello Experts.

I'm struggling to install Qliksense in my machine.

But unfortunately it end up with a message Installation Failed for more details refer logs.

I would like to inform you all the steps I have taken so far to resolve this.

Followed all the steps mentioned here‌ but nothing wokred
Cleaned all Qlik entries from windows registry and did fresh installation. Even this didn't worked.
Tried June till November Patch 2 nothing worked.
My OS windows 10 Pro.
Tried by turning off firewall it did not worked.
I have .Net 4.5 and above

Need experts opinions on this. I'm attaching log files as well.

Could be a virus scanner that prevents execution of something like a powershell command.

Hi Ali,

Did you ensured that is the correct version of you SO I mean if the SO is x64 and the installer version is X64 too.

I've checked the qlik download page and I see that all the installers are X64, maybe your windows is running x32

Always a reboot of your computer is good, try to reboot your SO, maybe there is running an update.

If you have any antivirus, close it and run the installer like Administrator (right clic and run as administrator)

I just had windows defender that was disable.

I even turn off my Firewall.

I double check my version its X64 and my machine is X64 as well.

I have no antivirus running with me I tried by restarting several times.

Another other thoughts will be appreciated.

The problem seem to be with a powershell command that get's an error during installation.

"powershell" -NoLogo -NonInteractive -InputFormat None –ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted -Command "if (Test-Path -path 'C:\Users\Ashfa\AppData\Local\Programs\Qlik\Sense\Engine\Settings.ini') {{ (Get-Content 'C:\Users\Ashfa\AppData\Local\Programs\Qlik\Sense\Engine\Settings.ini') | Set-Content -Encoding UTF8 -Force 'C:\Users\Ashfa\AppData\Local\Programs\Qlik\Sense\Engine\Settings.ini'" }}

Unfortuntately the logs aren't saying why this command failed.

Hi,

No matter what I do it still fails.

I tried even Feb2018 Version of Qliksense but it fails.

Any further thoughts guys?

I dont have nothing else ..... just, did you tried install a previous version? I guess that you are installing the 2018 February version..... so could you try the November release, please? Perhaps there is a problem with the February version and I don't have an windows 10 S.O.

Maybe you already tried, but just in case you have not, have you tried?

Run PowerShell in administrator mode.
Run "Set-ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted" in PowerShell and selecting Y. (or Bypass) (Set-ExecutionPolicy (Microsoft.PowerShell.Security) - PowerShell | Microsoft Docs)
Confirm the command ran without errors.
Restart the machine.
Start the installation process
