Hi.

I have a multi-node Qlik Sense June 2018 Patch 2 Environment (site A).

From next month I will have a new Environment and I want to upgrade Qlik Sense from June to November 2018. This environment is empty. (site B)

Is better:

FIRST SCENARIO

1. Site B: install Qlik Sense November 2018 Patch 2

2. Migrate Apps from Site A (June 2018 Patch 2) to Site B (November 2018 Patch 2)

3. Upgrade Site A from June 2018 Patch 2 to November 2018 Patch 2

FIRST SCENARIO

1. Site B: install Qlik Sense June 2018 Patch 2

2. Migrate Apps from Site A to Site B , same release

3. Upgrade Site B from June 2018 Patch 2 to November 2018 Patch 2

3. Upgrade Site A from June 2018 Patch 2 to November 2018 Patch 2

I would say the second scenario. It may be more work but both sites are following the same migration\upgrade path.

If you do scenario 1 then the migration of apps from site a to site b (different versions) is an untested migration path so you might encounter different problems.

Just my opinion of course 🙂
