Upgrade: Copying Files from Synchronized Persistence to File Share

About to upgrade from 3.2 SR2 synchronized persistence to November 2018 shared persistence.

The following steps are given under Upgrading to a shared persistence deployment included in the migration steps:

3.Copy following content from your synchronized persistence deployment to the file share:...

4.Ensure that all Qlik Sense nodes are synchronized, and take all nodes offline by stopping the Qlik Sense services in Windows.

My question: Why the recommendation to copy the files before stopping the services? Common practice would suggest it is better to stop the services and make the system quiescent before copying the files to avoid potential inconsistencies among copied files. Am I missing something?

You are actually right about this, thanks for spotting it!
Yes, stop the services first and then copy the files.
