How to grant users from a certain User Directory connector a license automatically?

Hello all,

How do you grant users from a certain User Directory connector a license automatically?

((user.userDirectory="MyDirectory"))

Would this be correct as a User Access rule?

Hi Chris,

Once I do this I don't see the users in the "User access allocations" page. When will I see them in this page? Once they attempt to log in?

I guess I was expecting Qlik to allocate the users a license once I execute the rule but maybe I missed a step.

@mwallman Much like Security Rules, License Rules in Qlik Sense are to provide theoretical access should a user fulfill the conditions. So no, users will not be pre-allocated a license. But once they log in, they will be allocated one.

From a management perspective, this ideal since it requires minimal administrative effort. From a resource allocation perspective, this allows for resources to be available but not tied up to users who are not using the product. So it's a win/win in multiple regards.
