We are currently set up in an OnPrem multi node configuration. is it possible to add nodes to an existing site (standard VMWare in a datacenter) that are located on AWS? The goal would be eventually to migrate completely to AWS, once all of the DataWarehouse has been moved.

Hello,

The biggest concern that I have for this setup is the network latency between the nodes. Depending how you want to setup your environment, the network can become a key factor.

In addition, the Qlik Sense service account will need to have access to the shared folder through a silent authentication (This is usually achieved by setting the servers in the same Active Directory domain) so not sure if you can do that in your AWS environment.

Finally you will just need to make sure that the necessary ports are opened between the nodes.

See https://help.qlik.com/en-US/sense/April2019/Subsystems/PlanningQlikSenseDeployments/Content/Sense_Deployment/Ports.htm for more details.

Hope this helps!
