I would like to break out my Development Nodes and my Production Nodes. First step is to make sure that all applications are reloaded on the Development Nodes. I read the article below but have a question. I have four rim nodes I would like two of them as Development and two as Production. Can I follow the instructions below and only allow the Development nodes to be slaves for reloading and make the two Production nodes masters for viewing only?

Qlik Sense: Move reloads to RIM nodes and exclude Central nodeARTICLE NUMBER: 000009328 | LAST MODIFIED: 2019/10/14

Description

In multi-node environments, the apps can be reloaded on any node.

Environments:

Qlik Sense, any version

Resolution

To set reloads to only run on Rim nodes:

Go to the Qlik Sense Management Console

Open the Central Node Scheduler

In the Advanced menu, select Master as the Type

Open the Rim Node Scheduler(s)

In the Advanced menu, select Slave as the Type

Hello Mccuthan

As far as i know, you can only have 1 master scheduler on the same time.

You can set 1 of your production server as master scheduler and disable scheduler service on other prdouction node to take app reloads away from them. Leave development nodes as slave.

Hi BITZAG_OA,

Thanks for your response.

I have already done that but it was my understanding that the Scheduler is used for only task that have been created. I am more concerned with the 300 developers that are reloading their applications.
