It won't be used, until you add it in the virtual proxy > load balancing configuration.
The default load balancing rules, which are a different section of the QMC, don't need to be changed in this situation.

Hi,

We have added a third consumer node to Qliksens cluster. We have run repository service and engine service on it. The services are showing to be running fine in QMC

However, out of the three consumer ndoes, the third one is not showing any activity.

How can I test that the third node is working fine and the reports being opened on that node are delivered without any issue?

Regards

Goodmorning @AarizShah ,

if you are not balancing externally the nodes, did you add the new node into the Load balancing configuration of your virtual proxy(/proxies)?
I would also try to audit the load balancing of the nodes (you can do it from the Load balancing rules section or directly from the Audit section)

I hope this helps,
Riccardo

If we add a node and run the engine and repository service, is there not a default load balancing? Do we have to always define some load balancing rule?

No, when you add a node you always have to specify on the virtual proxy(/proxies) which nodes have to be load balanced.
If you didn't customize the load balancing rules, then those don't need to be modified.

so what happens if we dont specify any load balancing rule and simply add the node with repository and engine service enabled?

Does it get in use or it will not be used unless we specify it in the load balancing rules?
