From the main memory management doc:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;IMG alt="2018-08-20 11_16_18-QIX engine memory management and CPU utilization _.png" class="jive-image image-1" src="/legacyfs/online/211293_2018-08-20 11_16_18-QIX engine memory management and CPU utilization _.png" style="height: 365px; width: 620px;" /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;From this we have three types of cache:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;(1) Base Cache for the app to be uncompressed from disk to memory (grey)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;(2) Session cache for the user (dark green)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;(3) Cache of the drill-downs by users (light green)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Post-reload, (1) will be refreshed &lt;EM&gt;if the doc is already in memory&lt;/EM&gt;. The other 2 will not be touched on reload.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The key way of thinking about it is that a document will be in memory post reload if it was in memory prior to the reload.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hope that helps.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Do you recommend reducing the app cache time from default value of 8 hours to maybe say 4 hours to release the cache faster.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
