We went with separate servers for our dev/test/prod environments. We wanted to be able to apply new patches in the dev and test environments prior to applying in the prod environment. We also wanted to minimize the chance that a developer could bring the prod environment down with a poorly written query. All the streams in the prod environment also exist in the dev environment, so migration between dev and prod is not complicated.

Hi

A customer has an existing Sense PRD server and now want to add a DEV environment. Do you recommend deploying it as a stand alone sever or should we add it as a rim node in cluster with PRD? There are no specific security requirements, so we are free to choose.

If we go for cluster, what config has to be done? Current PRD is installed as a single node site. I find only high level info on https://help.qlik.com/en-US/sense-admin

Thanx Johan
