Architecture experts: Recommendation on Service Accounts for two servers performing the same role?

Hi,

We have a situation where we are migrating where our dev servers are hosted.

Server A is our current dev server.

Server B will be our future dev server hosted in a different place.

We are working on building and testing the Server B, it will have the same QS version installed and a restored copy of a backup of how dev QS looked like from Server A.

This means there is likely to be a situation where for a while there will be TWO dev environments running. Server B won't be "live" until we are happy with the testing. But it will access the same data sources as Server A when required.

Both of these environments will need to access same data source to read data from.

What is the recommendation on service accounts for the same Dev servers but in two places?

Is it better two have two different service accounts, one for Server A, and one for Server B?

Or can they use the same service account and it's not a problem?

Using the same service account should not be a problem. Does your Qlik Sense license support having 2 dev environments running at the same time?
