Upgrade from synchronized to shared persistence (v3.2 to June 2018)

Hi Everyone,

I want to upgrade a client server from Qlik Sense 3.2 SR3 synchronized persistence to June 2018 (Shared persistence) .

I have heard that to move to any other version from synchronized persistence to Shared persistence it is necessary that we need to first upgrade it to June 2017 then to the next required version.

Eg: If i need to move to June 2018 from 3.2 SR3 synchronized persistence (Current Installation)

Mandatory Installation flow should be : 3.2 SR3 synchronized persistence ----> June 2017 ( shared )------->June 2018

Instead of : 3.2 SR3 synchronized persistence ----> June 2018

Yes, would agree with that.
Updating from synchronized to shared can be a pain.
You do not want to add the complications of a large span between your old and new version.
First make the smallest possible update to get into shared persistence.
After that you can leap forward with versions to get to the latest.
And be very sure to backup your Sense installation before the update.
