Using Qlik DataTransfer

Good morning, I would need help understanding how Qlik DataTransfer works.

If it cannot be installed on a server when there is a Qlik Sense Server installation, how can I send Apps to a SaaS server? Maybe they mean a Client installation on a PC?

I dont understand why you would need to upload apps to SaaS using Qlik DataTransfer. Qlik Sense has built-in functionality to do it, which can be used once you have the proper licensing (see Deploying Qlik Sense Enterprise in a multi-cloud environment ).

The main purpose of QDT is to upload data from on premise environments to SaaS.
From my point of view, QDT should be used in environments where you do not have QS on premise installed and do not want to "expose" your data sources

Border line cases are the ones that allow you to read a QS/QV app and upload the data to the SaaS... but really, I expect those to be very limited

The question remains what the option to send an App on a SaaS server is for!!
If I can't install it on a Qlik server, what do I do with it? Or I didn't understand.
